Speech and Language Therapy

Guy’s and St Thomas’ Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Visiting Professional Programme gives international clinicians the chance to experience multiple SLT specialties within adult services.

Introduction to Speech and Language Therapy (SLT)

The Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust Therapies Directorate provides a fully comprehensive range of therapy services across the Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospital sites including Evelina Children’s Hospital, and in a number of outpatient community clinics and GP practices. Our Therapies Directorate is one of the largest in the United Kingdom employing over 400 staff across five clinical therapy departments; foot health, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology and speech and language therapy.

The Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Visiting Professional Programme offers the opportunity to work within multiple speech and language specialties within our adult services, specifically ENT, voice, and head and neck oncology services. The programme is set in both the hospital workplace, integrating visitors into the adult SLT team, and within a community setting.
