International Clinical Fellowship Programme (ICFP)

Offers clinical training for international doctors who are sponsored by their Ministry of Health, Government, hospital, clinical institute or national training body

The International Clinical Fellowship Programme is certified by the UK General Medical Council (GMC)

The International programme has been designed collaboratively by senior consultants and lead clinicians at Guy’s and St Thomas’. The programme offers an opportunity for international clinicians, who have already achieved higher postgraduate qualifications, to come to our globally well recognised hospitals to gain clinical experience and enhance academic and clinical capacity.

The ICFP is offered over one or two years and there is no specific semester or start date as we consider application in all Paediatric and Adult specialties across the whole year. The ICFP aims to provide doctors from overseas with the opportunity to undertake a structured hands-on training across our main hospitals in London to produce graduates who will be future leaders in their fields, capable of handling the everyday challenges of their health service. You will develop advanced skills and knowledge required for practising independently as a specialist while. We are ready to offer a comprehensive non-clinical training if required. There are dedicated supports in place for each doctor who joins our programme not only during their training, we will assist for visa application, guidance for accommodation, and more importantly we sponsor for the GMC registration and support for the process.

ICFP Training Programmes

Our Programme offers clinical training to international doctors who are self-funded or sponsored by their government, hospital or national training body. We offer Fellowship training in ALL specialties (Paediatric and Adult). This is a unique opportunity to develop professionally as a doctor and learn advanced skills that will be especially beneficial for the health service in your home country in these above-mentioned specialities.
